Sayfurahman Scores Team-High Sixth Goal of Season on Friday

POMONA, Calif. - On Friday evening, a late goal by Cal Poly Pomona broke a 1-1 tie, as Cal State East Bay women's soccer fell 2-1 to Cal Poly Pomona in CCAA action at Kellogg Stadium. The Pioneers' goal was from Mika Sayfurahman in the first half.

GOAL SUMMARY
  • The Broncos struck first when Tara Oper scored her sixth goal of the season in the 22nd minute. Auburn Burnett assisted on the opening goal. 
  • Sayfurahman tied the match at 1-1 in the 40th minute on an unassisted goal. 
  • In the 88th minute, a shot off the left post was rebounded by Bailey McNitt who scored the game winning goal as Cal Poly Pomona won 2-1.
