HAYWARD, Calif. – Cal State East Bay women's soccer won its second straight CCAA match on Friday against Cal Poly Humboldt at Pioneer Stadium. The Pioneers used a penalty kick by
Mika Sayfurahman to win 1-0.
- The Pioneers would get the lone tally of the game in the 57th minute as Sayfurahman converted a penalty kick after the attempt was awarded off a yellow card by the Lumberjacks.
- Sayfurahman's goal was her team-leading fifth of the season and is tied for sixth most in the CCAA.
- In net for the Pioneers, Jordan Smith had her second 90-minute shutout of the season and was the 21st of her career.
- Morgan Pearson had a match high four shots to lead the Pioneers in the category.
- Each team had 14 shots apiece and three corner kicks apiece.
- The win for the Pioneers helps them climb the CCAA regular season standings as they have 10 through Friday's action. They sit in a seventh place tie in the standings, just one point out of sixth place which represents the final available CCAA Tournament spot. After Friday, four matches remain in the regular season for Cal State East Bay.
