TURLOCK, Calif. – After a suspended match on Friday for Cal State East Bay men's soccer, the Pioneers returned to action on Sunday, and shut out Stanislaus State, 2-0 at Warrior Stadium after a pair of late goals.
- In the 78th minute, Julian Valle netted his second goal of the season after an assist from Tim Cerjak as Cal State East Bay led 1-0.
- The lead doubled to 2-0 in the 84th minute for the Pioneers as the score held leading to Sunday's win.
- Michael Rossi, off the bench, had four shots for the Pioneers to lead the team in the category.
- Adan Corona got the shutout win in net for the Pioneers on Sunday which was his fourth of the season.
- Cal State East Bay outshot Stanislaus 17-12 while each team had three corner kicks.

This coming Friday, the Pioneers host Cal State LA for a kickoff scheduled for 4:30 p.m. from Pioneer Stadium. It will be the first meeting for Cal State East Bay head coach Mike Haswell against the team he previously served on the coaching staff for.
