SAN DIEGO - In a double dual women's swim meet at Aztec Aquaplex between No. 20 Cal State East Bay, San Diego State and Incarnate Word, the Pioneers split the dual meets. They came up just short against SDSU, 127-118, but defeated UIW, 158-104. Multiple first place finishes took place for the Pioneers with swimmers from three teams throughout the meet. 

Below are some of the highlights for the Pioneers from Thursday's meet. 

• Miya French finished in a precise second place tie during the 1,000 yard freestyle with a time of 10 minutes, 51.20 seconds. 
• Placing first in the 200 yard breaststroke was Tori Padilla with a time of 2:35.32. In the same event, Nani Welsh and Patty Eppingher placed third and fourth respectively. 
• Brooklyn Dressel won the 100 yard butterfly, in 59.29 seconds. Emma Knott finished in a precise second place tie in the same event (1:01.09). 
• Winning the 200 yard individual medley was Kylie Beaudet, in 2:11.38.  
• The relay team of Dressel, Delaney Carlson, Padilla and Knott won the 200 yard freestyle relay in 1:39.50.

The next dual meet for the Pioneers takes place on Friday, January 13 at San Jose State. Start time is set for noon.
