HAYWARD, Calif. - The Cal State East Bay women's swim team hosted a double dual meet against Simpson and UC Santa Cruz on Saturday. The Pioneers won both double duals, defeating Simpson, 207-16 and UCSC, 150-109. Eight first place finishes by CSUEB led the way with two relay wins and six individual winners.
To open the meet, the team of
Ella Guffey,
Tori Padilla,
Brooklyn Dressel and
Olivia Parham won the 200 yard individual medley relay in one minute, 51.95 seconds.
Below are the first place finishes for the Pioneers in the individual events.
- Emilie Giannini won the 1,000 yard freestyle in 11:00.07.
- Taking first in the 200 yard butterfly was Allysa Dudley with a time of 2:19.64.
- Delaney Carlson won the 50 yard freestyle in 25.42 seconds.
- Winning the 200 yard breaststroke in 2:31.31 was Padilla.
- Emma Knott took first in the 100 yard butterfly in 59.90 seconds.
- Kylie Beaudet won the 400 yard individual medley in 4:37.29.
The final women's swim event of the day was the 400 yard freestyle relay, where the team of Dressel, Carlson,
Jacqueline Feurtado and
Olivia Parham placed first in 3:38.22.
On Saturday, January 28, the final regular season meet for the Pioneers takes place at Pioneer Pool. Cal State East Bay hosts Senior Day with a dual meet against Fresno Pacific.
