Cal State East Bay assistant coach
Chris Oetinger shared his thoughts on the Pioneers performance in the tournament. "The guys got off to a great start during round one," stated Oetinger. "Unfortunately, we closed out the round poorly and we struggled to get any momentum going during rounds two and three."
The host team, Western Washington, won the team competition. Edvin Backstrom from Holy Names and Andy Yoon from CSU Dominguez Hills, were tied for first on the leaderboard. Backstrom defeated Yoon on a playoff hole to be the medalist.
On October 17-18, the Pioneers return to action in the Otter Invitational, taking place at Bayonet Golf Course in Seaside, California.
