HONOLULU - In a non-conference matchup on Thursday, the Cal State East Bay women's soccer team lost 4-1 to UH Hilo at Saint Louis Field. Off a corner kick,
Morgan Pearson scored her third goal in as many matches and
Kelsey Pena added an assist.
- The Vulcans got on the board in the 17th minute with a goal from Alyssa Padron, which was assisted by Daelenn Tokunaga.
- Grace VerHage scored her first goal of the match in the 28th minute to give UHH a 2-0 lead. Teani Arakawa assisted in UHH's second goal.
- In the 31st minute, Pearson scored her third goal of the season, which was off a corner kick. Pena picked up her first assist of the season.
- Arakawa and VerHage each scored unassisted goals in the 59th and 65th minute respectively for a 4-1 lead.
- Two shots were registered by the Pioneers, with one resulting in a goal for Pearson and the other from Pena.
- Pearson has scored a goal in the first three matches of her career at Cal State East Bay.
