HONOLULU - A tremendous response from the Cal State East Bay women's soccer team took place on Saturday after a non-conference loss on Thursday. The Pioneers shut out Chaminade, 1-0 from Saint Louis Field.
Jordan Smith picked up her second shutout of 2022 and
Abigail Kern netted her second goal of the season.
- After a crowd in front of the net in the 16th minute, Kern put home an unassisted goal to put the Pioneers up 1-0. It was Kern's second goal of the season.
- In net for the Pioneers, Smith made three saves, as Cal State East Bay preserved a shutout. For Smith, it was her second shutout of the season and 12th in her career
- Kern now has the second most goals this season with two for the Pioneers.
- Kayla Remund had two shots in the match, with one on net.
