CSUEB head coach Alan Sue:
"The team battled hard today and played well in the final round. It was a trend for most of this year that we need to correct for next season. We have to learn to bring the intensity that we displayed in the last two rounds for the entire 54. I'm excited that all of these starters are returning!"
CSUEB assistant coach Chris Oetinger:
"Of course it is always disappointing when the season comes to an end earlier than expected but, it was great to see the team go out with a strong performance today. Four players shooting under par put on display our talent and pride. Everyone in the starting lineup returns next season - the valuable experience gained this week will prove priceless. While I am still digesting the ending of our season, I can't wait to get the guys back and make another run next season."
Matthew Pennington of Cal State San Marcos won the individual title after a four hole play-off. Tournament host CSU Pueblo won the team competition to become regional champions. Colorado Mesa, Midwestern State and Oklahoma Christian are the four teams in the region advancing to the NCAA National Championships.
