GOODYEAR, Ariz. - The Cal State East Bay men's golf team wrapped up its 2021-22 regular season on Tuesday with a tie for 6th place among 17 teams in the RJGA Palm Valley Classic. The top finisher for the Pioneers was
Fraser Owenson, who placed tied for 10th on the leaderboard at 2-under-par 214 (73-72-69), with a team-high 13 birdies.
"The guys did a great job of finishing strong this tournament," said Cal State East Bay assistant coach
Chris Oetinger. "We needed a solid result to contend for a postseason bid and each player, up and down the lineup, showed a lot of heart today. Really proud of the way they bounced back after our last event. We need to continue to improve and hope to build on this as we prepare for the conference championship next week."
