HAYWARD, Calif. — The No. RV/24-ranked Cal State East Bay women's basketball team resumes action this week with road contests against Sonoma State on Thursday, Feb. 10, beginning at 5:30 p.m., before matchup at Cal Poly Humboldt on Saturday, Feb. 12 at 5:30 p.m.

CSUEB (16-2, 11-1) has won 15 of its last games overall, is receiving votes in this week's WBCA Top 25 Coaches Poll and is ranked No. 24 in the latest D2SIDA Top 25.

The Pioneers have won eight of their last 10 matchups against Sonoma State, including a 68-58 victory in their last matchup in Hayward on Jan. 22. Meanwhile, CSUEB has won three of its last four against Cal Poly Humboldt after a 76-55 home win over the Lumberjacks on Jan. 20.

East Bay is coming off a thrilling home victory against Cal State LA, 65-62, on Feb. 5. Junior Grace Campbell scored a season-high 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the field, including five key points late in the fourth quarter, to go along with a team-high 10 rebounds.

Sophomore guard Zhane Duckett finished with 14 points, eight assists and seven rebounds, sophomore Mina Tameliau scored 12 points and senior guard Madison Schiller finished with 10 points and five rebounds. 

CSUEB came back from a 10-point deficit early in the second half to defeat Cal State LA for the fifth time in the last six meetings against the Golden Eagles.

The Pioneers have the CCAA's top scoring defense this season, limiting opponents to only 56.5 points per game, as well as the conference's top rebounding team with 43.3 per game. They also have the second-best average margin of victory in the conference (10.1) and are third in team field-goal percentage (.396). 

Junior guard Delia Moore ranks 14th in the CCAA in scoring, averaging 12.1 points per contest, is third in 3-point field-goal percentage (.358) and seventh in steals per game (2.3).

Duckett ranks second in the CCAA in free-throw percentage (.827) and is fourth in the conference with 3.6 assists per game, while freshman Taylor Linzie is seventh in rebounding with 8.1 per contest and Cambell is 12th averaging 6.3 per game.
