HAYWARD, Calif. — The No. 24-ranked Cal State East Bay women's basketball team is set for two home showdowns this week, as the first-place Pioneers play host to second-place No. RV Cal State San Marcos on Thursday, Feb. 3, beginning at 5 p.m., before taking on Cal State LA on Saturday, Feb. 5 at 1 p.m.
Both contests will be streamed live on CCAA Network and live stats will be available.
CSUEB (15-1, 10-0) has won 14-consecutive games and is ranked in this week's WBCA Top 25 Coaches Poll for the first time this season. The Pioneers have split their last four meetings against Cal State San Marcos (13-2, 11-1), which is receiving votes in this week's latest top 25 poll.
East Bay has won four of its last five matchups against Cal State LA (7-9, 6-5) with two-straight victories against the Eagles in contests played in Hayward.
The Pioneers have the CCAA's top scoring defense this season, limiting opponents to only 54.9 points per game. They also have the second-highest average margin of victory in the conference (12.5).
Junior guard
Delia Moore ranks 12th in the CCAA in scoring, averaging 12.9 points per contest, is third in 3-point field-goal percentage (.367) and seventh in steals per game (2.2).
Sophomore guard
Zhane Duckett ranks fourth in the conference with 3.4 assists per game, while freshman
Taylor Linzie is sixth in rebounding with 8.1 per contest.
