HAYWARD, Calif. – The Cal State East Bay men's soccer team was shut out by No. 13 Cal Poly Pomona, 4-0 on Friday at Pioneer Stadium.
- A corner kick from Mike Moser found Jerry Ramirez, who put a header into the net in the 6th minute to give the Broncos a 1-0 lead.
- Less than 30 seconds later, Melvyn Perez Cortez made a long throw in pass from the right sideline and found Oscar Griehsel Facey, who scored the Broncos' second goal of the match.
- Max Laguna took a rebound in the 41st minute, and make a move to set himself up to score his second goal of the season as Cal Poly Pomona led 3-0.
- A fourth goal by the Broncos was added by Moser in the 86th minute. Kevin Hernandez had the assist.
- Josh Gaeckle and Michael Rossi each had a pair of shots in the match. Rossi had one on frame.
- Clayton Branco, Drew Gibbons and Aidan Raftery were the three non-goalkeepers for the Pioneers who played a full 90 minutes on the pitch.
- Although the Pioneers lost Friday's match, a CCAA Tournament possibility is still within reach after Friday with six available points and two points out of a playoff spot.
