MALIBU, Calif. – The Cal State East Bay women's swimming team competed in a dual meet Friday at Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool against Pepperdine. Most of the higher placing for the Pioneers was in freestyle events on Friday.
Collectively, the Pioneers had two first place finishes, each in a freestyle event.
Delaney Carlson was the top finisher in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 24.62 seconds.
The relay team of
Brooklyn Dressel, Carlson,
Nani Welsh and
Emma Knott was the top finishing team in the 200 yard freestyle relay in 1:38.08.
Other notable performances include:
- Second place for Miya French in the 700 yard freestyle in 7:39.56.
- Knott placing second in the 50 yard butterfly.
On Saturday at 11 a.m., the Pioneers and Waves return to the pool for a second straight dual meet in as many days.
