SAN FRANCISCO — The Cal State East Bay men's basketball team found itself in an early hole it was unable to climb out of, as the Pioneers dropped a road contest at San Francisco State, 76-64, on Saturday afternoon at The Swamp.
Freshman guard
DJ Sanders scored a team-high 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting, while senior forward
Zafir Williams finished with 13 points and eight rebounds.
Sophomore guard
Kaito Williams added 10 points with six rebounds and three assists, and senior forward
Justin Vigil scored eight points with five rebounds.
CSUEB (3-10, 1-6 CCAA) returns to action next week at home, as the Pioneers play host to Humboldt State on Thursday, Jan. 20, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
