HAYWARD, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay women's basketball team is scheduled to resume action with a road game at San Francisco State on Saturday, Jan. 15, beginning at 1 p.m.
Thursday evening's contest at Cal State Monterey Bay has been canceled due to COVID protocol.
At this time, only four individuals per competing student-athlete and/or coach (for both home and away teams) will only be allowed inside SF State's Main Gym at Don Nasser Family Plaza for basketball games. The four individuals are to be declared by the competing student-athletes and/or coaches prior to each contest.
Prior to entering the facility on the campus of San Francisco State, all spectators age 12 and over will be required to provide proof of vaccination using California's Digital COVID-19 Vaccine Record. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a vaccinated adult. You can view the complete release of SF State's modified spectator policy

CSUEB (10-1, 5-0 CCAA) has had its last three games canceled, including at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Jan. 1, as well as home games against Chico State on Jan. 6, Stanislaus State on Jan. 8 due to COVID protocols, and in accordance with California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) policy.
All three games were declared a 'no contest,' meaning the games will not be reflected on either teams' win-loss record, and will not be rescheduled.
On December 31, the CCAA announced a modified COVID-19 policy for
canceled games. For the 2021–22 season, games canceled due to COVID-related circumstances will now be declared a 'no contest' rather than a 'forfeit.' This policy also applies to any conference basketball games that were previously ruled a forfeit prior to the change of policy.
East Bay is 16-2 against SF State since the 2011-12 season, and won in its last visit to The Swamp on Dec. 7, 2019.
The Pioneers have the top scoring defense in the conference this season, limiting opponents to only 54.6 points per game, and have the highest average margin of victory in the CCAA (11.5).
Junior guard
Delia Moore ranks 12th in the CCAA in scoring, averaging 13.3 points per contest, and is fourth in 3-point field-goal percentage (.352).
Senior
Madison Schiller is 15th in scoring with 12.9 points per game, freshman
Taylor Linzie is eighth in rebounding with 7.5 per game and sophomore guard
Zhane Duckett ranks seventh in the conference with 3.1 assists per game.
East Bay is coming off a 57-37 victory over Cal State San Bernardino, which was its ninth-straight victory. It was also the second-fewest number of points given up by the Pioneers this season.
Moore led the way with 13 points, four rebounds and a career-high six steals, Schiller scored 10 points with four steals and senior
Sylvia Vartazarian added 10 points with four rebounds.
Junior
