HAYWARD, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay volleyball team begins a five-match homestand this weekend, with conference contests against Stanislaus State on Thursday, Sept. 30 at 5 p.m., before playing host to Chico State on Saturday, Oct. 2 beginning at 7 p.m.

Both matches will be streamed live on CCAA Network, and live stats will be available.

CSUEB (5-7, 0-4 CCAA) is 10-10 all-time against Stanislaus State (5-7, 1-3), and has won four of the last seven meetings against the Warriors. Meanwhile, East Bay has won three of the last five matchups with Chico State, including a sweep of the Wildcats in 2018.

The Pioneers are coming off a challenging road trip last weekend against ranked opponents in Southern California, dropping contests at No. 12-ranked Cal State San Bernardino and at undefeated No. 24 Cal Poly Pomona. East Bay held leads in the second set in both matches, but was unable to sustain the momentum in 3-0 defeats.

Meanwhile, redshirt freshman Mia Jordan is second on the Pioneers with 120 points and 106 kills, while leading the team with 20 blocks. Redshirt freshman setter Megan Crecelius has a team-best 214 assists this season, which ranks seventh in the CCAA.
