TURLOCK, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay men's soccer team dropped a non-conference road match at Stanislaus State on Saturday evening, 6-1.
Junior Danil Menshikov scored his first-career goal in a Pioneer uniform, knocking through a low shot in the 30th minute to pull CSUEB within 2-1.
But Stan State scored on a penalty kick in the 40th minute to close out the first half, and the Pioneers were unable to recover.

Josh Gaeckle both had two shots on goal to lead East Bay, while sophomore
Adam Mockridge had one shot on target.

Cal State East Bay (1-4-1) returns home this week to begin California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play against Cal State Dominguez Hills beginning at 4:30 p.m.
