East Bay Falls Short in Conference Opener to Dominguez Hills

HAYWARD, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay men's soccer team dropped its California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) opener at Pioneer Stadium to Cal State Dominguez Hills, 7-1 on Friday evening.

Junior Josh Gaeckle scored his third goal of the season for CSUEB (1-5-1, 0-1 CCAA), while junior goalkeeper Kelekolio Mateo Jr. finished with seven saves.

The Pioneer return to action on Sunday, Oct. 3, as they continue conference play at home against Cal State Monterey Bay at 11:30 a.m.
