FINAL RESULTS

SANTA ROSA, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay men's golf team began its 2021 Fall season this week, placing seventh at the Sonoma State Men's Invite at Valley of the Moon Country Club.

The Pioneers shot 874 (+34) for the three-round invitational, including a 289 in Round 1. 

Junior Fraser Owenson led East Bay by shooting a 214 (+4) over the three rounds, highlighted by a Round-1 score of 69. The Nairn, Scotland native shot a 70 in Round 2 and 75 in Round 3.

Won Jun Lee finished tied for 12th with a total score of 216 (+6), while Ryan Hong was right behind in a tie for 15th place at 218 (+8).

Senior Quentyn Kowata placed 53rd overall (230/ +20), while fellow senior Xavier Coreno finished in a tie for 54th (231/ +21).

CSUEB returns to action at the Western Washington Invitational on Sept. 27.
