HAYWARD, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay men's basketball team dropped a home conference contest to Cal Poly Pomona, 71-46, on Thursday evening at Pioneer Gym.
Freshman guard
DJ Sanders scored a team-high nine points with four rebounds, junior forward
Justin Vigil finished with eight points and junior forward
Tone Patton added seven points with four rebounds.
The Pioneers jumped out to an early 18-5 lead in the first half, but a 24-0 run helped the Broncos to a 12-point lead at halftime, 40-28.
CSUEB (3-7, 1-3 CCAA) returns to action on Saturday, Dec. 18, with a conference contest played at Holy Names University against Cal State San Bernardino beginning at 3 p.m.
