HAYWARD, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay women's soccer team found a way to win a defensive battle in a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Tournament First Round Match against Stanislaus State, with a 5-4 edge in penalty kicks, Sunday afternoon at Pioneer Stadium.
CSUEB (10-5-3) advances to its first-ever CCAA Semifinal, where it will take on Chico State on Friday, Nov. 12, beginning at 4 p.m. at Kellogg Stadium on the campus of Cal Poly Pomona.
In addition, it was the Pioneers' first victory over the Warriors since 2011.
