HAYWARD, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay women's basketball team opened conference play Saturday afternoon with a thrilling home win over Cal State Dominguez Hills, 82-81.
It's the fourth-straight win for East Bay (5-1, 1-0), as the Pioneers won their home opener at Pioneer Gym and began California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play with a victory.
Senior guard
Madison Schiller scored a team-high 21 points on 8-of-17 shooting, including two 3-pointers. Sophomore forward
Mina Tameliau scored 14 points with six rebounds, while sophomore guard
Zhane Duckett finished with 11 points and nine assists.
Junior guard
Delia Moore scored 11 points with five rebounds and five assists, as CSUEB won its fourth-straight over Cal State Dominguez Hills and seventh in their last nine meetings.
The Pioneers return to action this week with conference road games at Cal State LA on Thursday, Dec. 2, before playing at Cal State San Marcos on Saturday Dec. 4.
