HAYWARD, Calif — The Cal State East Bay volleyball team will play its final home matches of the season this week, as the Pioneers take on No. 22-ranked Cal Poly Pomona on Thursday, Nov. 4 beginning at 3 p.m., followed by a Senior Day matchup against No. 4 Cal State San Bernardino on Saturday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m.
CSUEB (8-14, 3-11 CCAA) has won three of its last four home games at Pioneer Gym.
Saturday will be the final career home game for seniors
Steena Hubbard and
Kelly Markham. Hubbard has started 20 matches this season, and has appeared in 52 career contests with 45 starts. Markham has played in 29 career contests with 27 starts, but has only appeared in four matches this season due to injury.
Junior
Breyan Ashley had a big night in a hard-fought defeat at Stanislaus State on Oct. 30, as the San Francisco native recorded 13 kills with 14 digs. Hubbard recorded a season-high five blocks and redshirt freshman setter
Megan Crecelius finished with 30 assists.
