FRESNO, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay men's basketball team couldn't keep up with high-powered No. 24-ranked Point Loma, as the Pioneers dropped Saturday's contest against the Sea Lions, 90-73.
Junior guard
Kaito Williams scored 18 points with three 3-pointers, while freshman guard
DJ Sanders had a strong game off the bench with 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting.
Senior forward
Zafir Williams finished with nine points and seven rebounds, and sophomore guard
Julian Lopez scored seven points.
Point Loma shot 50 percent from 3-point range (13-for-26) and four Sea Lions scored in double figures.
CSUEB (0-2) returns to action for its home opener on Wednesday, Nov. 17, as East Bay plays host to Dominican at Pioneer Gym beginning at 7:30 p.m.
