HAYWARD, Calif. —
The Cal State East Bay women's soccer team will play in its first-ever CCAA Tournament Semifinal contest on Friday evening, as the Pioneers have a rematch against Chico State on Nov. 12, beginning at 4 p.m. at Kellogg Stadium on the campus of Cal Poly Pomona.

The match will be streamed live on CCAA Network and live stats will be available. Friday's winner will face either No. 5-seed Cal State LA or No. 1-seed Sonoma State in the CCAA Tournament Championship game on Sunday, Nov. 14 at 1 p.m.

Cal State East Bay and Chico State have split its last two meetings, with the Pioneers earning an overtime road victory at Chico to close the 2019 season off a game-winning goal by Annika Blom. Prior to that victory, CSUEB had not defeated the Wildcats since 1989. Chico State earned a narrow 1-0 win over East Bay earlier this season on Oct. 14.

It has been a historic season for CSUEB (9-5-4), as the Pioneers have recorded their most wins since 2008 and most victories in CCAA play in program history. In addition, head coach Robin Hart's 22 career wins already rank third-most all-time for East Bay.

Senior Tami Kwong ranks tied for second in the CCAA in goals scored (6), as her five game-winning goals lead the conference. In addition, senior Riley Spitzer and freshman Jenna Villanueva are tied with a CCAA-high five assists, while junior goalkeeper Jordan Smith ranks third in the conference with nine shutouts.
