CARSON, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay volleyball team dropped a hard-fought five-set road match at Cal State Dominguez Hills Friday night, 3-2 (25-22, 16-25, 21-25, 27-25, 15-8).
CSUEB (8-11, 3-8 CCAA) led the match 2-1 after the third set, but was unable to put away Dominguez Hills (1-15, 1-9 CCAA).
Junior
Kara Green led East Bay with 14 kills, while junior
Taumafa Tuinauvai recorded a season-high 11 kills.
Redshirt freshman
Mia Jordan also tallied 11 kills, freshman libero
Taylor Miche had 22 digs and redshirt freshman setter
Megan Crecelius finished with a career-high 49 assists.
East Bay returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 23, as the Pioneers continue their road trip against No. RV Cal State LA beginning at 3 p.m.
