SEASIDE, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay men's golf team earned an eighth-place finish to close out its Fall season on Tuesday, as the Pioneers competed in the Otter Invitational at Bayonet Golf Course.

CSUEB shot a total of 916 (+52) over the three-round invitational, four strokes ahead of ninth-place Holy Names (920/+56) and 10 strokes ahead of 10th-place Sonoma State (926/+62)

Junior Fraser Owenson led East Bay by shotting a 225/+9 over three rounds, including a 72 during Round 1, en route to tying for 13th. Senior Tommy Jernigan was just one stroke behind as he shot a 226/+10 for the event, which included a score of 71 in Round 1.

Senior Mike Savin (233) finished tied for 47th, junior Ryan Hong (237) tied for 57th and sophomore Aaron Lee (248) was tied for 82nd. 

The Pioneers now look ahead to its 2021-22 Spring Season, which begins with the Cal State San Marcos' Fujikura Invitational on Feb. 14.
