Pioneers Play Cal Poly Pomona to 0-0 Tie, Stay Unbeaten in CCAA Play

POMONA, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay women's soccer team played Cal Poly Pomona to a scoreless tie, 0-0, Sunday afternoon at Kellogg Stadium. 

CSUEB (6-2-2, 3-0-1 CCAA) remains unbeaten in conference play and stands alone in second place in the CCAA standings. The Pioneers finished this weekend's road trip 1-0-1, and snapped a streak of three-straight losses to CPP (4-4-2, 0-2-2 CCAA). 

Cal State East Bay had a 2-1 edge in shots on target after 110 minutes played. Sophomore Payton Heaney and freshman Lexie Randolph each recorded a shot on goal, while junior goalkeeper Jordan Smith saved the Broncos' only opportunity of the game. 

CSUEB returns to action on Thursday, Oct. 14, as the Pioneers playe host to Chico State beginning at 4:30 p.m.
