HAYWARD, Calif., -- Cal State East Bay had 50 student-athletes named to the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) 2020 Fall All-Academic Team, the conference announced on Monday.
A total of 478 men and women from across all the CCAA's 13 member institutions have been honored for their efforts in the classroom for Spring 2020. You can

The CCAA Fall All-Academic Team consists of eligible student-athletes who compete in the sports of men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer and volleyball.
CSUEB led all schools in the CCAA with 50 total student-athletes on the team and also led the conference with three 4.0 student-athletes:
Brittney Duquette,
Justin Matties and
Chase Worthen. The Pioneers were led by 14 women's soccer honorees, along with 12 from women's cross country, nine from volleyball, seven from men's cross country and six from men's soccer.
The CCAA recognizes individuals academically per season — fall, winter and spring — for all CCAA sponsored sports. In order to earn CCAA All-Academic team honors, a student-athletes much be of sophomore athletic standing or higher, and own a 3.3 cumulative GPA while competing in a conference-sponsored sport in that season.
