LA JOLLA, Calif., -- The Cal State East Bay women's basketball team fell in Friday's California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Tournament Semifinal, 77-69 to top seeded Cal State San Marcos.

In a high-scoring affair for two of the better defenses in the in the league the Cougars outscored the Pioneers 32-17 in the fourth quarter including 20-for-21 from the foul line to pullout the eight-point victory.

The Pioneer bench mob accounted for 52 total points with a quartet of players notching double figures. Freshman
Mina Tameliau tied a career-high mark of 15 points on 4-for-6 shooting from the field while sinking 7-of-9 shots from the foul line. She also grabbed four rebounds and collected two steals. Fellow freshman
Zhane Duckett poured in 14 points on 4-for-6 shooting and dished a team-high three assist across 22 minutes. Â She added six free throws, three rebounds and a steal.

Celeste Almendarez contributed all over turning in 11 points with three rebounds, an assists, a block and a steal.
Regina Sankey added 10 points, five rebounds and a steal.

In total, East Bay notched 38 points inside the paint and dominated on the glass 36-26 for the contest behind a game-high 11 rebounds from
Morgan Greene to go along with her eight points.
Faith Turner added seven rebounds for the Pios.

The Pioneers finish the season 18-12 overall with a 13-9 showing in the conference play. The selection show will air at 10 p.m. ET this Sunday, March 8, on
