LA JOLLA, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay men's basketball team fell short in an instant classic to UC San Diego, 86-82, in a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Tournament Semifinal Friday at RIMAC Arena.
Junior guard
Nai Carlisle scored a team-high 24 points for the Pioneers, while senior guard
Evan Wardlow added 22 points and senior forward
Ant Navarrete finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
UC San Diego sophomore guard Tyrell Roberts scored a game-high 45 points, including a late go-ahead 3-pointer to break an 82-82 tie with four seconds remaining.
