HAYWARD, Calif., -- Cal State East Bay junior duo of
Morgan Greene and
Madison Schiller have been selected the the 2019-20 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Women's Basketball All-Conference Team, the league office announced Thursday.

Both players were named to the Second Team after leading the Pioneers to an 18-11 record and the No. 5 seed in the CCAA Tournament. You can view the complete All-CCAA teams

It's the ninth straight year reaching the CCAA Postseason for the CSUEB women's hoops team. This is the eighth consecutive season in which the Pioneers have boasted multiple All-CCAA honorees.

Greene returned to the court this season after missing the 2018-19 season with a knee injury to garner her third All-CCAA selection of her career. She is East Bay's leading rebounder grabbing 8.4 boards per contest, sixth most in the conference. The Phoenix native has been more effective in CCAA play averaging 9.7 points and 8.7 rebounds and leading the team with four double doubles. Greene is a member of one CCAA Championship team and ranks second in program history in total rebounds, fourth in field goals made, fifth in total points and eight in career blocks.

Schiller also earned a Second Team nod after notching a career best season with CSUEB. The native of Ridgecrest was the leading scorer for the Pioneers throughout most of the season compiling a career best 273 total points, tied for first on the team. She had tallied 12 double figure scoring outputs while upping her averages to 9.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists in CCAA action. Schiller is sixth in the league in steals with 50 and 18th with 72 total assists.

The East Bay women are still alive in the 2019-20 CCAA Tournament after going on the road and knocking off the No. 4 seeded Chico State Wildcats 78-53, in the first round and sweeping the season series.

The Pioneers will now head to La Jolla for the Semifinal round matchup against the top seeded Cal State San Marcos Cougars. The game will take play Friday night at 8:00 p.m. in RIMAC Arena and will be streamed live on ESPN3.

The Pioneers and Cougars have already met twice this season with CSUSM claiming a 2-0 season series lead with victories in Hayward and San Marcos.

- The Pioneers finished the regular season 17-11 on the season with a 13-9 mark in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play.
- East Bay WBB is in the CCAA Postseason playoffs for the ninth consecutive season.

- Cal State East Bay is 2nd in the CCAA in rebounding margin at +6.7 so far this season.
- Madison Schiller is second on the squad with 9.4 ppg on 44.2% shooting from the field including upping her average to 9.7 ppg on 43.0% shooting in conference play.
- Schiller has collected a team-high 50 steals on the season, 6th most in the CCAA.
- Morgan Greene is leading the Pioneers with 8.4 rpg., 6th best in the CCAA. She is also 5th in the league with 243 total rebounds. Greene is also 8th in the league in blocks with 21.
- Greene has recorded six or more rebounds in 13 of the last 14 games, including 11 total double digit rebounding games of the sort this season. She is also averaging 9.7 ppg and 8.7 rpg in CCAA play.
- Regina Sankey leads the Pioneers in scoring with 10.2 ppg on 47.6 percent shooting off the bench.
- Zhane Duckett and Madison Schiller are all currently in the top 20 in the conference in assists. Schiller is 18th at 2.5 and Duckett is 19th at 2.5 as well. Duckett is second of the team and 12th in the CCAA in steals with 40.

SCOUTING CAL STATE SAN MARCOS
The Cal State San Marcos Cougars earned the top seed in the CCAA Tournament after finishing the regular season with a 23-4 overall record and a 17-4 mark in conference play. Head coach Renee Jimenez was named Coach of the Year while Stephanie Custodio, Akayla Hackson, Emma Forel and Jon'Nae Vermillion all received All-CCAA honors. Hackson paced the team with 12.8 points, 2.4 assists and 3.1 rebounds. Emma Forel is adding 12.1 points and 9.4 rebounds.
