SAN BERNARDINO, Calif., -- The Cal State East Bay women's basketball team wrapped up their 2019-20 regular season with a, 73-66 road victory over Cal State San Bernardino Saturday evening in Coussoulis Arena.

East Bay will travel to Chico State for a No. 4 vs. No. 5 matchup in the opening round of the 2020 CCAA Women's Basketball Tournament on Tuesday, March 3. The game will take place inside Art Acker Gymnasium beginning at 5:30 p.m.
With the victory, the Pioneers finish the regular season with 17- 11 overall record and a 13-9 mark in CCAA play. CSUEB has now won at least 14 games in all four seasons with
Shanele Stires as Head Coach at East Bay.

The Pioneers shot 56.8 percent from the field for the contest and 46.2 percent for three-point range, both their second highest clips of the season, as they trailed for less the five total minutes in the game.

In all, four Pios notched double figures in the win led by 19 points off the bench from senior guard
Regina Sankey. The San Jose native has found her hot hand in Southern California as she shot 6-for-10 from the floor, including 2-for-3 from the beyond the arc and 5-for-8 from the charity stripe. Sankey added five rebounds, two assists and a steal in 27 minutes as she helped the CSUEB reserves outscore the CSUSB bench 27-8 for the game.

Morgan Greene finished with 14 points and six rebounds on 6-for-9 shooting from the field. Greene tallied two assists and a steal with knocking down two foul shots.
Kayley Hsiung chipped in 10 points and six rebounds while converting two three-point attempts and going a perfect 2-for-2 from the free throw line.
Faith Turner also collected 10 points on 4-for-5 shooting with three rebounds, a block and a steal.

East Bay outscored San Bernardino, 36-30 on points inside the painted area while also out rebounding the Coyotes 35-24. One slight blemish for the Pioneers was their 23 turnover that led to 23 points for CSUSB. But the Pios would make up for it with 18 fast break points and 10 second chance points.

Madison Schiller tallied seven points with four assists, three rebounds and two steals.
Kincso Kelemen turned in five points while grabbing six rebounds and dishing out a team-high five assists. Celeste Almendrez added six points and two rebounds on 2-for-3 shooting from the floor.
