HAYWARD, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay men's soccer team was edged in double overtime by Cal State San Marcos, 1-0, Sunday afternoon at Pioneer Stadium.
The game was decided on a penalty shot by Cougars freshman John Williamson in the 104
th minute, following a foul in the box. Williamson knocked it through for the Pioneers' second-straight overtime loss to begin conference play. Â
CSUEB (2-5, 0-2) recorded 10 shots — four on goal — while Cal State San Marcos (3-4-1, 1-0-) had a 6-5 advantage in corner kicks. Freshman
