SAN RAFAEL, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay women's soccer team fought hard in a defensive battle on Saturday afternoon, playing host Dominican to a scoreless tie, 0-0.
It was the second tie of the season for CSUEB (1-3-2), which has gone unbeaten in a two-game stretch this week after defeating Holy Names on Thursday, 5-0.
The Pioneers outshot Dominican 16-11 overall, with a 5-4 edge in shots on goal. Freshman goalkeeper
Jordan Smith played all 110 minutes in the net and finished with four saves.
Cal State East Bay returns to action next weekend with home contests against UC San Diego on Friday, Sept. 27 and Cal State San Marcos on Sunday, Sept. 29.
