East Bay Women's Hoops Closes 2019 with Huge CCAA Showdown Against Stanislaus State

 HAYWARD, Calif., -- The Cal State East Bay women's basketball team will once again find themselves in a matchup of two of the top teams in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) with a Sunday afternoon matchup against Stanislaus State at 1:00 inside Pioneer Gymnasium.
 
The Pioneers currently seated second the CCAA Standings with a 9-3 overall record and a 5-1 mark in conference action. The Stanislaus State Warriors are just one spot below CSUEB in third with a 7-4 record on the season and a 5-1 in league play.

This will be the final game of the 2019 calendar year for East Bay as they are now 3-1 inside Pioneer Gymnasium so far this season.

  • Greene notched season-high marks with 17 points, 14 rebounds in East Bay's CCAA Game of the Week victory over Humboldt State.
  • Madison Schiller is currently 8th in the conference with 3.3 apg. Schiller is also 6th in the league with a 1.4 assist/turnover ratio.
  • Schiller has collected a team-high 26 steals on the season, 5th best in the CCAA. 

SCOUTING STANISLAUS STATE
The Stanislaus State Warriors enter their matchup against the Pioneers carrying a 7-4 overall record with a 5-1 showing in CCAA play after wins over San Francisco State and Cal State San Bernardino in their last two contests. Kyanna Davis is leading the Warriors with 14.5 points and 8.0 rebounds. Angelica Baylon is adding 9.0 points and 4.8 assists for Stanislaus State.
