Second Half Dooms Men's Soccer at CSU San Bernardino

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay men's soccer team was locked in a close game for one half of action Sunday afternoon, but ultimately dropped the decision to No. 14-ranked Cal State San Bernardino, 3-0, at Premier Field.

The Pioneers played the Coyotes to a scoreless tied up through intermission, before CSUSB scored the eventual game winner in the 50th minute on a goal by Pedro Arellano.

Junior forward Tommy Flora and freshman midfielder Zack Mason recorded one shot apiece for Cal State East Bay, while sophomore goalkeeper Juan Diego Escalante tallied two saves.

The Pioneers (2-14, 0-10) return to action next weekend with road games at Chico State on Nov. 7 and at Stanislaus State on Nov. 9.
