Men's Soccer Can't Withstand Early Charge in Loss at Cal Poly Pomona

POMONA, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay men's soccer team couldn't withstand an early charge from Cal Poly Pomona, dropping Friday evening's contest at Kellogg Stadium, 7-0.

The Pioneers found themselves behind after a Broncos goal in the 15th minute, and were unable to put together a late rally.

Freshman Ishmam Rahman recorded a shot on target, while sophomore goalkeeper Juan Diego Escalante finished with six saves.

CSUEB (2-13, 0-9 CCAA) returns to action on Sunday, Nov. 3, when the Pioneers take on No. 14-ranked Cal State San Bernardino beginning at 11:30 a.m.
