HAYWARD, Calif., -- The Cal State East Bay volleyball team will play a pair of home and away rivalry matches this week. The Pioneers kick off the week with the final game of their "Bay Bridge" series on the road against San Francisco State on Tuesday night before wrapping up competition with their first installment of their "Battle of the Bays" matchup at home versus Cal State Monterey Bay on Friday evening.
 
The Pioneers have now won two consecutive home games as they now sit 3-12 overall on the season with a 2-5 mark in conference action.

  • The Pioneers have now compiled two straight home victories.
  • East Bay has racked up more blocks than opponents 97-62.5 on the season.

SCOUTING SAN FRANCISCO STATE
The San Francisco State Gators enter their matchup with the Pioneers carrying a 11-5 mark on the season with a 4-3 league record after defeating Humboldt State on Saturday. Drew Morris leads the Gators with 190 kills and 216 total points. Taylor Garcia is tops on SF State with 260 digs.
 
SCOUTING MONTEREY BAY
The Cal State Monterey Bay Otters come into the matchup with a 5-12 overall record on the season and a 1-9 showing in CCAA matches after losses to Stanislaus State and Chico State last weekend. Jenna Tobin leads the Otters with 198 kills, 193 digs and 230 total points so far on the season.
