HAYWARD, Calif. -- The Cal State East Bay swim team wraps up its home schedule this week with dual meets against San Jose State and Azusa Pacific on back-to-back days at Pioneer Pool.Â
On Friday, the Pioneers take on the Division I Spartans at 1 p.m. Saturday's dual against the conference rival Cougars is the final home meet of the 2016-17 season, and will be preceded by the annual "Senior Day" ceremony. Â

Mariam Lowe, and
Tiffany Wong will swim their final competitive meet today in Hayward. Together they have helped the Pioneers captures runner-up finishes at PCSC Championships two of the last three years.Â
This season, the Pioneers have a 5-4 record in dual meets. They have faced tough competition throughout the schedule, with three losses coming to Division I schools (Pacific, Nevada, UC Davis), and one to No. 6 ranked UC San Diego.
This weekend will be the penultimate tuneup before postseason competition for East Bay. Next week, the team travels south for duals against Fresno Pacific and Fresno State to close out the regular season. On Feb. 8, the Pioneers head to East Los Angeles College for the PCSC Championships meet, with the ultimate goal of qualifying swimmers for the NCAA DII Championships for the first time since 2013-14.Â
