LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- The Cal State East Bay men's golf team finished with a share of 14th place at the 2016 NCAA West/South-Central Regional after shooting 306 (+22) in the final round at the par-71 New Mexico State University course.Â
East Bay finished the 54-hole tournament at 891 (+39), tied with St. Edward's and Cameron. Top-ranked Chico State took the title at even par. Oklahoma Christian, Dallas Baptist, Cal Baptist, and BYU Hawaii rounded out the top five and qualified for the NCAA Championships.Â
Junior
Chad Hall had the team's low score of the day and notched the highest finish for the week. The CCAA Newcomer of the Year carded 73 (+2) for the second straight day to finish tied for 38th in the overall field of 108 golfers at 221 (+8).
Freshman
Jonathan Mulvany bounced back on Wednesday, carving six strokes off his second rounds score with a 75 (+4), the team's second-best score. He finished in a tie for 88th individually at 230 (+17).
Junior
Owen Hutchison took a share of 55th place at 224 (+11) after shooting a 78 (+7) in the third round.

Adam Stone and senior
Joel Keylor both carded 80 (+9) to close out the tournament. Stone finished tied for 43rd at 222 (+9), and while closed out his four-year career tied with Mulvany in 88th place at 230 (+17).Â
For the Pioneers, it's the end of an historic season that crescendoed when the won the program's first ever CCAA championship. Stone also became the first Pioneer to win an individual CCAA title, and for the second year in a row, Cal State East Bay competed with the best in the nation at the NCAA Regionals.
