TURLOCK, Calif. – Cal State East Bay women's basketball will close out its regular season with road matchups against Cal State Stanislaus on Friday, Feb. 27, and Chico State on Saturday, Feb. 28. The Pioneers are looking to complete the season sweep of both teams and head into the postseason with some positive momentum.

Cal State East Bay will finish sixth in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) final regular season standings regardless of the weekend results. The Pioneers can face any of the five teams above them in their first round matchup heading into Thursday's pivotal games around the league.

However the team's focus has always been to control what it can control. The Pioneers have the ability to pick up wins 17 and 18 on the season with a weekend sweep. That number would match East Bay's highest single season win total since the 2005-06 campaign.

SURVIVE AND ADVANCE
Cal State East Bay survived a second half scare from Cal State Stanislaus taking the Jan. 24 matchup by a 58-55 score. The Warriors came to the free throw line down two points, with two seconds left to tie the game. Riley Holladay missed the first of two and the Pioneers escaped with the victory.

TRENDING UPWARD
CSUEB has triumphed in seven of the past eight meetings with the Pioneers winning the last five matchups in Hayward. The Warriors are just 4-7 inside Fitzpatrick Arena this season, but are winners of back-to-back road games and came up two points shy against postseason bound Cal State San Bernardino on Feb. 14.

BALANCED ATTACK
Cal State Stanislaus does not have a player averaging at least 10 points per game this season. What the Warriors have is six different regulars scoring at least 7.5 ppg, led by Jasmine Washington.

CONTRASTING STYLES
Cal State Stanislaus has made the most 3-pointers (190) and attempted the most (620) among the 12 CCAA schools. The Warriors are hitting just over 30 percent over their attempts with Alysa Valentine and Camille Roberts leading the way with 37 triples this season. Cal State East Bay has attempted the fewest amount (358) in the league, taking less than 14 per game. CSUS attempts nearly 26 per contests.

FALLING ON HARD TIMES
Chico State is looking to bounce back after becoming the first team to fall to San Francisco State this season. The Wildcats have lost four of their last five heading into Friday's matchup against Cal State Monterey Bay.

SENIOR NIGHT
Chico State will be hosting its "Senior Night" when Cal State East Bay arrives on Saturday evening. The Wildcats will recognize seniors Sarah Rebibo, Michelle Walker, Annie Ward, and Hannah Womack in the final home game and collegiate contest of their respective careers. Last season Chico State defeated Cal Poly Pomona 63-61 in its final home game of the 2013-14 campaign.

TAKING CONTROL
Cal State East Bay has won three straight over Chico State after going 1-7 from starting in 2009. The Pioneers won 75-56 in this year's earlier matchup with Tori Breshers and Stephanie Lopez leading the team scoring 14 apiece.

PROJECTED STARTING FIVE
Chico State has run out the same starting five for 23-of-24 games this season. Whitney Branham, Brooke Bowen, Annie Ward, and Michelle Walker have started all 24 contests. Leading scorer Hannah Womack has started 23-of-24 with the team's home matchup against Cal State Stanislaus on Dec. 20 the only non-start. Womack finished with a team-high 23 points off the bench in 28 minutes.

NOTABLE NUMBERS
Senior guard Stephanie Lopez needs only five points to have the most prolific scoring season in program history. She enters the weekend having scored 479 points, only four shy of the current record set by Shawn Spangler during the 1982-83 season with 483 points.

Lopez has the potential to win the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) regular season scoring title. Lopez's 347 points trail only Cal Poly Pomona teammates Jada Blackwell (358) and Ariel Marsh (355) heading into the final two games.

Lopez leads all CCAA players in league action with 116 made free throws. She ranks second with 99 assists, third with 42 steals, and fourth having made 105 field goals.

Junior Tori Breshers leads the league with 35 blocks in 20 CCAA contests. She ranks second having made 121 field goals, and is fourth in scoring with 310 points.

Breshers ranks in the program's all-time top-10 in points, field goals made, free throws made, rebounds, and blocks. She enters the weekend with 109 career rejections, only six away from the program record set by Antoinette Goode from 1994-98.

Four-year senior Micah Walker will become the first Pioneer to play in four straight CCAA Postseason Tournaments next Thursday. She currently holds program top-10 marks in points, field goals made, 3-pointers made, free throws made, rebounds, assists, and steals.
