Pioneer Women Lose on Penalty Kick to Toros

HAYWARD, Calif.-- In the next-to-last regular season game of the 2015 season, Johana Rosas of Cal State Dominguez Hills put a penalty kick in the upper-right corner of the goal at 66:48 to give the Toros a 1-0 lead over Cal State East Bay that would last until the final horn. With the loss, the Pioneer women's soccer team falls to 3-8 in the CCAA and 5-12 overall. The Toros improve to 2-8 in conference play and 5-12 overall.

The Pioneers outshot the Toros, 9-7, in the match with six of the Pioneer shots being on-goal. Both sides totaled two corner kicks each.

Megan Ravenscroft collected three shots to lead the Pioneers. Sialei Manuleleua, Suzanne Bateson, Rachel Robbert, and Mindy Castro each had one shot. Katelyn Oshima had five saves to tie her season-high.

Next up, Halloween is Senior Day and the final regular season game of the year at Pioneer Field as Cal State L.A. comes for an 11:30 a.m. matchup.
