Final Results
STOCKTON, Calif. -- The Cal State East Bay men's golf team took eighth place at the 2014 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) championships with a cumulative total of 922 (+58). The Pioneers shot their lowest score of the week in the final round with a 301 (+13).at the par-72 Brookside Country Club.
Freshman
Adam Stone carded the team's only under-par round of the week with a 71 (-1) on Tuesday. It was also tied for the second-best card of the entire day. Stone notched his third top-20 finish of the year, placing in a tie for 14th at 224 (+8) overall.
Junior
A.J. Hebert carded a 76 (+4) to close out the tournament, finishing in a tie for 28th at 230 (+14).
Sophomore
Barrett Taylor shot an 80 (+8) on Wednesday for a cumulative total of 237 (+21), placing 36th overall.
Elliot Busichio shot his lowest round of the week in the final round with a 76 (+4). The senior finished in 38th place at 239 (+23).
Sophomore
Joel Keylor rounded out East Bay's week with a 240 (+24) in 39th place after shooting 78 (+6) on Wednesday.
Cal State Stanislaus (-5) claimed the team championship, followed by Cal State Monterey Bay (+12) in second place and UC San Diego (+18) in third. The Warriors' Trevor Clayton ran away with individual medalist honors, finishing the championships at 210 (-6).
