The Pioneers have won four straight and eight of their last nine as they look to extend winning streaks against both weekend foes.
Cal State East Bay at San Francisco State (Friday Game Preview)Cal State East Bay has swept the past three home-and-home series' with San Francisco State in amassing its winning streak to six over the Gators. During that stretch S.F. State has failed to score more than 54 points and is averaging just 44.3 points per game against CSUEB.
The SFSU roster boasts three team members averaging double figure scoring led by Michelle Sutton's 12.1 points per game. Teammates Savannah Camp (10.4 ppg) and Leti Galarza (10.1 ppg) round out this cast.
S.F. State has been dominated on the glass this season and is second worst in the CCAA in rebounding margin (-7.5). The Gators will have to contend with an East Bay squad that enters the weekend third best in the same category (+5.5).
Cal State East Bay is averaging 25 free throw attempts per game in CCAA action compared to just 10 for S.F. State. All five members of the Pioneer starting lineup in

Stephanie Lopez (15) and
Remy Puou (13) have attempted more free throws than the leader on the Gator roster in Sutton with 11.
Cal State East Bay won three straight games by 17 points before edging Cal State Monterey Bay 62-60 on the road. Despite mostly sizeable margins of victory the Pioneers are looking to put together a full 40 minutes of solid play to maintain its current position near the top of the league standings.
Cal State East Bay at Sonoma State (Saturday Game Preview)Sonoma State will put its 3-game winning streak on the line Friday, Jan. 2, against Cal State Monterey Bay before taking on the Pioneers. The Seawolves opened the season 1-4, 0-2 CCAA before earning a pair of wins against SFSU sandwiched around a 100-55 thumping of the Pioneers (of Pacific Union).
Cal State East Bay has won the previous three matchups and four of the past five overall between these two squads. Last season the Pioneers held the Seawolves to just 39 points in both matchups to earn comfortable victories.
SSU's Hannah Sourek is the focal point of the team's offense leading the way with 14.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. Her numbers are even better in CCAA play posting marks of 17.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, and a .592 shooting percentage (29-of-49).
East Bay has had different players step up throughout the season with Breshers the most recent. She scored a career-high 27 points against CSUMB on Dec. 13 and one week later backed that up with 22 more against the Otters.
Bland knocked down the game-winning basket in the two point win on Dec. 20.
Mo Fegan sparked a rally off the bench with three 3-pointers in a comeback win over UC San Diego on Dec. 6.
Remy Puou burdened some of the load in the early portion of the season with four straight double-digit scoring performances including back-to-back double-doubles.
Lopez currently ranks second in the CCAA this season averaging 19.4 points per game. She has poured in at least 12 points in all 10 games despite teams keying on the senior scoring leader. Lopez is shooting at better clips overall, from three, and at the free throw line. She is also grabbing nearly three more rebounds per game this season than a year ago.
