The Pioneers will host back-to-back 2013-14 league tournament qualifiers when they face UC San Diego on Saturday.

Last season this group of Broncos averaged 37.5 points and 19 rebounds in the two head-to-head meetings. They accounted for more than 55 percent of the team's scoring and half of the rebounding.
The task of stopping Blackwell, the CCAA's current leading scorer at nearly 25 points per game, will likely rest on the shoulders of
Remy Puou and
Tori Breshers. The Pioneer pair has combined for 24 points, 12 rebounds, and two blocks thru five contests this season.
Stephanie Lopez dished out a career-high 11 assists in last year's 83-58 win over Cal Poly Pomona. This season she has stepped up her scoring to the tune of nearly 24 points per game and ranks second in the CCAA heading into the weekend.
The two teams split their pair of regular season meetings last year with the host squad the victor on both occasions. East Bay earned a resounding 25-point win with five players scoring in double figures before suffering a 75-70 overtime loss at Kellogg Gymnasium.

She has been the team's leading scorer in four of its five games and has taken more than double the amount of shot attempts as any other player on the roster.
The Tritons have had the same starting five every game this season including Farrah Shokoor, McKennan Bertsch, Haley Anderson, and Stephanie Yano. Shokoor is averaging a double-double and is the second leading scorer on the squad at 11.2 points and 11.8 rebounds per game.
Lopez led the team with 35 points, 13 rebounds, and six assists combined in the two meetings with UCSD a year ago. The team shot over 50 percent from the floor inside the 3-point line, but managed to knock down only 5-of-22 from distance. The Tritons drained 15-of-37 (.405) from beyond the arc with eight coming in their victory over the Pioneers.
Cal State East Bay is looking for its first home win in five tries against UC San Diego since joining the CCAA. The Pioneers picked up back-to-back double-digit wins at RIMAC Arena over two seasons before falling in last year's home contest 59-50.
