The Seawolves (9-4, 7-2 CCAA) out-hit East Bay .288 to .058 for the match, led by reigning CCAA Player of the Year Caylie Seitz, who had 16 kills, .488 pct. After a tight first set, the Seawolves took over the momentum and controlled both sides of the net en route to the sweep victory.
It's the fourth straight loss for the Pioneers (5-9, 2-7 CCAA).Bruno and fellow senior
Amber Hall each finished with eight kills to lead the Pioneers. Junior libero
Angie Maina set a career high with 25 digs, and senior setter
Ashia Joseph notched five kills and 24 assists.
Bruno's four blocks led the team and matched her second-highest total of the season. She's third on the team with 27 blocks this year and has recorded at least 50 in each of her three seasons as a Pioneer.
CSUEB is back on the road the next two weekends, starting with a trip south on Friday to take on Cal Poly Pomona.
