MISSION VIEJO, Calif. - The Pioneer men's golf team finished eighth out of 14 teams at the 61st Southern California Intercollegiate Championships on March 21-22. The three-round tournament was played at the Mission Viejo Country Club.
East Bay finished with a three-round score of 119-over par-971, four strokes better than Cal State Dominguez Hills.
Central Oklahoma captured the tournament with a 32-over par-884.
Justin Tambunting led the Pioneers with a 27-over par-240 tied for 28th. Tambunting shot a 6-over par-77 in the first round.
Scott Gregory, coming off a solid performance in the Pioneer Shootout two weeks ago, finished tied for 34th with a 30-over par.
Wes Davis and
A.J. Warren tied for 40th at 33-over par.
