SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - The Pioneer men's golf team opened the 2011 Spring campaign with a 13th place finish at the Coyote Classic on Feb. 28-Mar. 1.
The tournament, held at the Arrowhead Country Club in San Bernardino, California, consisted of 17 teams.
East Bay finished with a three-round score of 61-over par-901. Central Oklahoma won the two-day tournament with a team score of 4-over par-844.
A.J. Warren tied with one other golfer in 36th place to lead the Pioneers. Warren shot a 14-over par-224 including a 3-over par-73 in the second round.
Jeff Cornez and
Justin Tambunting finished in a three-way tie for 42nd with a 16-over par-226.
Nick Allen was one stroke back and finished in a seven-way tie in 43rd place.
Scott Gregory shot a 26-over par-236 for the tournament.
